Delta Adds 7 More Seattle Flights

Delta is all in on Seattle.

Since 2012, when it began bulking up in Alaska Airline’s hometown airport and primary hub, Delta has more than tripled its Seattle flights and established Sea-Tac airport as its Pacific Northwest hub. And today, Delta announced nonstop service between Seattle and seven new destinations:

  • Austin, Texas
  • Eugene, Oregon
  • Lihue, Hawaii
  • Milwaukee, Wisc.
  • Nashville, Tenn.
  • Raleigh, N.C.
  • Redmond, Oregon

Flights to the new destinations will be available for booking from January 14, with service launches staggered throughout the year, from March 9 for the Milwaukee flights to December 21 for the Lihue flights.

Including the new services, Delta will operate 160 peak-day Seattle flights to 49 destinations.

For travelers flying from or to Seattle, the increase in head-to-head competition between Delta and Alaska Airlines can only be a good thing, keeping prices in check and amping up the intensity of frequent-flyer promotions.
