The Week’s Best Airfare Bargains

SmarterTravel

Haystack, meet needle: We’ve scoured promotions from dozens of airlines to find the best bargain routes on sale right now. And our search has yielded some great discounts on select domestic and international routes—all very encouraging as we head to the pricier summer-travel planning season. Here are a few highlights to prominent destinations, including Paris, Beijing, and D.C.

Paris Summer Biz-Class Flights $1,699; London from $1,798

At just a little over the price of a summer fare, fly to Europe in class—business class, that is. The all-business-class carrier, La Compagnie has just announced its summer sale discounting round-trip, taxes and fees-inclusive flights for Paris $1,699 and London at $1,798—a steal for sure, but especially because these rates are valid during peak-season travel, and in a lie-flat plane seating.

Book flights by October 15, travel by October 31. Travel at these rates must be booked at the La Compagnie site, but it’s always wise to check out competitors’ fares before nailing down a purchase.

Beijing Fall Flights from $539 R/T

Boston, you’ve had a rough winter, so some encouraging news is in order: Round-trip flights to China’s capital city can be had for as little as $539. The cheapest rates we found are for early-fall travel, specifically during September 3 – 15, from Boston to Beijing on Delta. Perform your own fare search to locate the cheapest pricing, even if not from the Boston area because Delta oftentimes has solid savings to Beijing, especially from Atlanta, Detroit, New York City, Seattle, and more recently Boston.

Los Cabos Spring Fares from $277 R/T

Flights to Mexico’s popular Baja Peninsula region are on sale with United, and the pricing is just perfecto. As part of a larger sale encompassing various U.S. departure cities to Cabo San Lucas, we found the extremely generous round-trip rate of $277 on the Denver – Los Cabos route. Travel is valid through May 31, and is valid March 20.

D.C. Flights from $34 O/W

Not a far distance to travel but at $34 one-way ($68 round-trip), that’s less than a tank of gas. JetBlue has just introduced new service on the Hartford – Washington, D.C. good for travel April 25 – July 15. There’s no booking deadline, so the price may update at any time.

All of the above fares are displayed round-trip, include taxes and fees, and were still available at time of publication. Smarter Travel provides this listing as editorial content; and does not sell tickets or receive revenue from any of the above airfare providers. See the specified carriers for more details.
