What do you get when you take warm weather, school vacations, and a slew of travelers? Besides over-crowded and over-priced travel, I mean? You’re likely to encounter limited affordable lodging. Finding hotels during the summer high season can be a bit of a hassle, especially when it comes to last-minute planning. It’s an age-old problem, and though it’s unlikely to change, there are ways to work around it. For instance, Hilton Worldwide’s Great Getaway might just be the right kind of solution, with its savings of up to 30 percent off participating hotels. Plus, the deal applies to places all over the world (at destinations in more than 80 countries). Oh, and I forgot to mention that it includes breakfast, too.
So, how do you take part in the deal? You must book by July 15, 2010, at partcipating Hilton Worldwide hotels around the globe for travel before September 6, 2010. Rooms must be booked at least seven days in advance of arrival. Discounts vary by hotel brands—Hilton, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, DoubleTree, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, and Homewood Suites—and some brands may require three-night stays, as well as extend the booking and/or travel dates. As always, this offer is subject to availability and blackout dates may apply and vary by hotel.
What do you think of this deal? Are you a fan of any of these hotels? Do you need further help in planning a vacation? I’m here all day everyday to solve your most difficult travel dilemmas. Just leave a comment below.
