Hilton Extends Double/Triple-Points Offer

Hilton's current systemwide promotion—double or triple points—was scheduled to expire on December 31. Rather than follow that with an entirely new offer, Hilton has elected to extend the existing promotion for an additional month.

Hilton HHonors

members can earn double points for every stay at every hotel in the HHonors portfolio, or triple points if those stays are booked via the Hilton app.

Deal or No Deal



Double points for stays at all HHonors hotels isn’t a game-changer for most. But since there are few really compelling offers from other hotel chains for fall and winter stays, double points may be just enough to keep Hilton loyalists from defecting to other brands. However, it won’t be enough to change the booking behavior of travelers whose allegiance lies elsewhere or who base their purchase decisions solely on value.

Triple points, on the other hand, make this a much more attractive offer. And there are plenty of good reasons to download and use the mobile app, as well:

• Check in and choose a room
• Functions as a digital key at some hotels
• Links to Uber for ride requests

  In fact, of all the hotel mobile apps, Hilton’s is arguably the most advanced. And with triple points, it's also the most lucrative to use.
