Savannah Travel Guide

Why You Should Visit Savannah

From its antebellum homes to its extremely polite society, Savannah is the embodiment of Southern charm. But this ultra-walkable city is also known for its historic architecture, hauntingly beautiful graveyards, and pristine parks. And at night, Savannah comes to life with a spirited nightlife.

When to Visit Savannah

Visit Savannah in the spring for its azaleas and magnolia trees in full bloom. Summer brings a rise crowds, humidity, temperatures, and prices. January and February see the lowest hotel prices but are also the coldest months. For a bargain, visit mid-September to mid-November.

The Weather in Savannah

Savannah weather is a reflection of the city's sunny disposition. Average temperatures never drop below 55 degrees or reach above 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are humid, and July and August see the most rainfall. Spring and fall offer cooler temps and bring less rain. Winters are mild.
