Orlando Travel Guide

Why Visit Orlando

It’s best known as the House of the Mouse, but travelers who visit Orlando and don’t get beyond Disney World and other theme parks are missing much of the fun. Orlando travel offers cosmopolitan cultural offerings, wildlife adventures, and plenty more. Don't overlook Orlando just because the resorts don't appeal to you.

When to Visit Orlando

School holidays are peak season to visit Orlando, though spring and summer vacations bring higher costs on everything from hotels to flights. Orlando travel prices drop the most in May, September, November, and January; shoulder season—February, May and early June, late August, and October—also offer lower prices and smaller crowds.

Weather in Orlando

There’s a reason they call Florida the Sunshine State. Even when temperatures dip to the 50s in winter, blue skies are the norm. The height of the summer brings highs in the 90s, though most buildings are air-conditioned. Light rain is common year-round, but the summer and fall hurricane season can bring bigger storms.
