A very modern place, the Minato Mirai 21 is the futuristic looking area of central Yokohama and is one of the best places for a tourist to see. The most prominent building is the Landmark Tower, Japan’s tallest skyscraper, which stands 972 feet high. The area offers lots of shops and restaurants, along with a lovely sunset. While Yokohama has its tall buildings, there are also many open spaces designated as parks. Other things you can do is go stroll through Chinatown, visit the Shinyokohama Ramen Museum, shop at the historic Red Brick Warehouse, see the aquarium in Yokohama, or explore the Yokohama Port area.
