Wildwood is a Jersey shore town known for long sandy beaches, a fabulous boardwalk and a lively night scene.
This is one party central sports along the coast. Relax on the sands at night and then head indoors for fabulous time partying.
A Board Walk
The boardwalk comes alive during the day and then again at night. Start at one end and work your way down. Try classic Jersey shore specialties like burgers, pizza, and pizza for dinner at one of the many diners along the beach. Sample a dessert such as fried oreos and taffy. After that, it’s a good place to have fun playing all kinds of classic carnival games of skill and chance. Compete for prizes at dozens of places that are open late.
Try the Rides
Right next to the boardwalk are a series of piers jutting into the ocean. The piers hold even more carnival games as well as rides. Get tickets to the ferris wheel so you can see the entire bay. Bring your teenagers for an evening of fun including go-karts and carousels.
Nightclub and Bars
Nightclubs and bars are found both along the beach and in the blocks away from it. Different bars attract different crowds. Younger crowds tend to hit the bars along the beach for an all-night party. Bars away from the beach are where you’ll find a slightly older crowd in their twenties. This is a slightly seedy area so be careful when parking or leaving a bar. If you get tired of hitting the dance floor, head for a round of mini golf along one of the many late-night golf courses.
