Want to go dancing or have a beer with some friendly Irish folks? You can get the best of both worlds with the Wexford Nightlife.
You won’t be hard pressed to find a nightclub in Wexford which may be why it is such a popular place for hen parties. Unlike Dublin, hen and stag parties are tolerated in Wexford (within reason). If you’re traveling with a hen party try Harper’s who will welcome you with open arms. After Harper’s head over to The Stores where you’ll find three floors of excellent music and it will be no hassle getting in.
If you’re ready to keep the night going, head to Benedicts. It’s the only club that plays Fatboy Slim straight after Buddy Holly and Jim Reeves! The Junction is a popular club in Wexford but they will charge a cover and won’t have a very lively dance floor.
Most pubs in Wexford are open from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. People tend to go in a pub for a few beers then be on their way (probably to the next pub). Mary’s Bar is a great place to stop in and grab a beer and people watch. When you’re in the mood for some live music go to Breens to see if they have a keyboard player for the evening. As far as finding more Irish music in Wexford goes, it’s around but you will have to search for it.
If you’re staying near Enniscorthy, stop by Treacys and the Riverside which are hotels in the center of town with great bars. Wrap up the night it Rackards where you’ll find good company and cheap drinks.
There is no shortage of nightlife in Wexford! From dance clubs to pubs with live music, you’ll have no trouble finding a few spots to stop in throughout the night.
