Georgetown is small and quiet until the shopping begins. The tourists and locals come together in unity as they meet together in Georgetown-they love to shop.

M Street and Wisconsin Avenue

Take the train to Rossyln Station and walk across the bridge into Georgetown proper where you will get a view of the river and Georgetown University.

The whole area around M- Street/Wisconsin Avenue is kind of a shopping district. With plenty of good restaurants and delicious pink cupcakes-there is something for everyone.

Whether you plan to buy, or window shop, Georgetown is lots of fun. The old architecture creates a wonderful stylish place to shop. Georgetown is quite a ritzy area making itself home to many upscale shops and boutiques, such as, Coach, Banana Republic, Armani Exchange, etc.

It’s a great place for Gen-Y’ers to shop. Their favorite shops are here like; Ambercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle Outfitters.

Georgetown has a number of trendy stores-some are chains and some are boutiques, but all are on the high-end, money-wise. You can find a bit of everything here- from extraordinary art, household items, jewelry, antiques, fashion, cosmetics, and fine apparel.

Flea Market

The Georgetown flea market was started in 1972.  If you happen to be in Georgetown on a Sunday between 8am and 4pm-stop by. Enjoy the weather and the people. Shop around among the many items on display inclusive of antiques, china, jewelry, vintage clothes, etc.
