A fellow associate, competent and liked by all, had a dream of retiring and buying a B&B. After several years of searching, he and his wife settled on the Alpine Rose B&B in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We work and live in Florida and I told Bob that I would be one of the first of his friends to come visit he and his wife as soon as they get settled. My son was graduating High School and none of us have ever skied white western powder that we have heard about all our lives as we were Northeast skiers. Everything came together, we planned the trip, skied powder, snowmobiled, shopped, dined and visited. The B in B&B for Breakfast was truly spelled with a capital B. Bob takes so much pride in putting together the most thought out well planned breakfast every morning. Here is a man that managed a bus fleet for the 11th largest school district in the Country with 180 schools. A pressure job with every type of problem on a daily basis that you can imagine and come morning, here he is putting together the most delicious combination of fresh fruit, berries, juice, eggs, fish, etc. for their guests. We had the most memorable time, celebrating the graduation and the start of college for my son, a new chapter in the life of a great friend and capped off the trip with a visit of my cousin in Denver. Did I mention that this was our first ever stay in a B&B?
