Dear Deal Detective:

Have you seen any good Vegas deals recently?

—J.C.

Dear J.C.,

There are always good deals to Las Vegas. Orbitz is currently running two promotions: $75 off four-night airfare-and-hotel packages or $50 off four-night hotel stays without a flight. Enter the codes “LASVEGAS75” and “LASVEGAS50,” respectively, at checkout. Book by June 3 for travel through August 31.

Continental Airlines’ “Win, Lose, or Draw” promotion gets you $100 off airfare-inclusive packages of three nights or longer, plus loads of extras like reduced prices on food and beverages at 27 participating casino resorts. But there’s a catch (isn’t there always?): The $100 credit applies to the first 200 bookings only. This deal just crossed my desk, however, so there may still be time. Enter promotional code “COVLAS100” at checkout. Book by June 30 for travel through August 31.

Dear Deal Detective:

I’m looking for a relaxing vacation in the Caribbean, specifically the Bahamas. Where can I find a good deal?

—L.J.

Dear L.J.,

Before heading to the Caribbean, make sure your passport is in order. If you still need to get one, consider Nassau’s free-passport promotion. The Bahamas will actually send you a check to cover the costs of your passport application—including expediting fees if your plans call for last-minute travel—up to $157 for adults and $142 for children. Apply by June 15 to get the free passport, then stay at one of 19 eligible hotels on Nassau between June 1 and September 30.

Additionally, United Vacations is offering $50 to $200 off and a free dinner cruise if you book an airfare-inclusive Nassau trip by May 31 for travel through December 19, excluding November 16 through 21. Use the promotion code “FREETOUR” when you book.

And, OneTravel.com is discounting three-night spring and summer getaways at the British Colonial Hilton starting at $559 from Miami on trips through the end of July. Many other departure cities are available, too. The land-only cost is $459, which comes out to just over $150 a night. The best prices I could find for this property outside of this offer would cost you an additional $100. Book by July 16 for OneTravel’s deal.

Dear Deal Detective:

My husband and I want to take our two pre-teen sons on a family vacation. We’re leaning toward Disney/Orlando, but I don’t even know where to start.

—F.T.

Dear F.T.,

Southwest Airlines Vacations is running a pretty good promotion right now. Book a Walt Disney World Resort trip of three nights or longer by June 24 and you’ll get several free meals and $50 off the total package price on trips between August 26 and September 22. The package also includes Disney resort accommodations and daily theme park tickets. Use the promotional code “Dreams” at checkout.

United Vacations is offering a similar “free dining” deal without the $50 off. It’s worth considering if Southwest doesn’t fly from your local airport. Also, if you don’t have your heart set on the Mouse, United Vacations is offering $50 to $200 off Mexico and Caribbean packages, depending on the price, when you book by May 31 and travel by December 19, excluding certain peak-season blackout dates.

Dear Deal Detective:

London deals?

—S.S.

Dear S.S.,

You’re a man of few words. I admire that. I’ll shoot for brevity, too: British Airways has extended its recent promotion through May 24. You can get two free nights in London when you fly round-trip to the English capital.

And that closes the book on this week’s cases. Need help finding a deal for your next trip? Email me your requests.
