USVI The Perfect Villa & the Best Shore Excursions - St Thomas & St John

If you are looking for an unforgettable vacation you have to check out St. Thomas & St John, it is beautiful!
I try to vacation in St Thomas at least once a year, prior to this last trip we've always went on a cruise. But, after spending the full 10 days only on the islands I am certain I will no longer be taking a cruise any more.
I just want to point out 2 specific things that were different on this visit to St Thomas.
We stayed in a Villa on the island of St John called Villa Catalina, we got a great deal on the rental off of

if you plan on visiting the USVI I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a place to stay. Villa Catalina was unreal! The villa is located on the west side of St John, what an amazing view.
BTW - if you check out their site you have to look at Villa Mistral, all I can say is WOW.
St Thomas Boat Rentals
Also this time my family chartered a powerboat to take us throughout the USVI for the day. Our captain was Roy and he did a great job. He listened to us and what my family wanted and then gave his recommendations. Ultimately he left the decision up to us but some of his recommendations were fantastic.
We went to a great place to snorkel, an empty cove for lunch, and a secluded beach. He had obviously had been doing charters for a while and knew what he was doing. Roy was also friendly and courteous and easy to be with for an entire day.
Overall both of these experiences were terrific and I highly recommend checking out both if you plan on visiting St John or St Thomas in the future.
