It is known for its beautiful blue and white ceramics, woven textiles and painted furniture. If you want to grab something to read, Frere Hall offers a book fair on Sundays, you can also check out some beautiful handmade items at the Zainab Market.
Enjoy Nature Along the Mangroves
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and people by taking a boat tour of the mangroves. This fast disappearing habitat is home to shrimp, crab, fish and a variety of other sea creatures and birds. The water is only a few feet deep in some spots, so only small boats can navigate the waters and once you arrange the trip with a local fisherman, you are required to pay whether you go or not.
