Torremolinos Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Insider Tips

Torremolinos Shopping

Torremolinos is off of the Spanish coastline and offers amazing views and perfect weather. It also has some exceptional shopping opportunities. Here are a few of the most popular spots to check out.

Bazar Chino 5888

This shops (and others similar to it) sells inexpensive goods for you to wear throughout your stay. The clothing here isn’t Spanish-made clothing, but if you need a shirt, sun dress, bathing suit, or something you left behind, this is the place to get it.

Street Shops

Street shops are popular around Torremolinos: You won’t find as many giant mega malls and other shopping centers you might in other parts of Spain. While the Bazar Chino destinations sell mostly cheap imports from China, many of the street shops sell authentic goods from local vendors. You’ll find some clothing in these locations that are priced a bit higher than Bazar Chino, but most of these items are locally produced. They’re also in great spots to stop at a cafe or pick up food from a street vendor.

Mercadona Supermercado

The local supermarket is a great location to pick up food and inexpensive snacks for the day. If you want to save money on your visit, pick up some food here to prepare back in the hotel. Snacks and bottles of water are also cheaper here than at shops around town. It’s best to bring your own backpack to carry goods as plastic bags are not used in Spain as they are in the United States. You can purchase some plastic bags from the store if you’d like, but it’s less common.

The Pebble Man

On the Promenade, you’ll find someone who proclaims himself to be the “Pebble Man.” He sells polished and smoothed out stones from the area that become so shiny they resemble pearls. The stones are then crafted into earrings or necklaces. Everything is simply designed but beautifully made and inexpensive. You can usually purchase a single stone for one euro. Buy matching earrings for two euros.

Rastros – Flea Markets

You never know what you’ll find at flea markets as big as Spanish rastros. From commonplace souvenirs to old antiques and handcrafted items, it’s worth strolling through to see what is available.
