With spring in full swing, I can’t help but feel hopeful for new beginnings. And this feeling makes me want to get out and explore new destinations. I’ve decided to share this wanderlust with you by finding the best deals around and hopefully inspiring you to get out and enjoy the world and the weather.
My Top 10 Deals of the Month
FunJet is offering deals to Las Vegas that will have you hitting the jackpot without having to bet a dime. Stay at one of the MGM resort properties such as Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, or Luxor, and receive free perks like resort credits, spa discounts, and activity passes. Plus, prices start at $189 for three nights at the Circus Circus, including round-trip airfare from Los Angeles.
This Memorial Day, Expedia wants you to celebrate with its holiday package sale. Three-night hotel-and-air deals include destinations all over the country, and prices start at $194 to Detroit.
Pleasant Holidays has packages to Hawaii starting at $349, which include round-trip airfare to Oahu from San Francisco or Los Angeles (other departure cities are available at a higher price), three nights’ accommodation, and all hotel taxes and fees for travel in August. Packages to Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai start at $399.
With go-today.com’s Taste of Italy, you can explore Rome, Venice, and Florence for a fraction of the typical cost. The package starts at $1,149 in May (prices are more expensive during the summer starting at $1,399), and includes round-trip airfare from New York City (other departure cities are available at a higher cost), two nights’ accommodation in Rome, Venice, and Florence, second-class train tickets between cities, continental daily breakfast, hotel taxes and service charges, and airline fuel surcharges.
Virgin Vacations is offering an Ireland fly-and-drive package that starts at $249 per person for travel in November and January through March. The deal includes round-trip airfare, seven-day car rental, local taxes, unlimited mileage, and mandated fuel surcharges. Packages are a bit higher for summer travel, but you can still get a good deal for the fall with prices starting at $339 in September and $329 in October.
CheapCaribbean.com has a slew of deals to several sunny spots, but the package to Nassau, Bahamas, is one for the budget checkbooks. The deal starts at $299, which includes round-trip airfare from Miami (other departure cities are available at a higher cost), three night hotel stay, continental breakfast, and two-for-one selected tours. Plus, if it rains during your stay, you will receive a $100 coupon. Book by May 20 for travel between now and December 15.
Expedia is offering an all-inclusive four-night sale to tropical destinations like Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. Prices start at $591, and include round-trip airfare from New York City, four nights’ accommodations, and all meals, drinks, and activities. Book by May 29, and travel before October 2.
United Vacations is offering you a chance to spend time with all of your favorite Disney characters at Disneyland this summer. Through September 26, you can get two extra hotel nights and two extra days of theme park admission when you book a three-night or longer Disneyland Resort vacation package. Sample prices start as low as $169 per person per night, and include five nights’ hotel, round-trip airfare from Denver (other departure cities are available at a higher cost), and five days admission to the theme park. Book by June 15, and choose hotels with the SALE option to get this deal.
With Qantas offering round-trip flights starting at $620 to Australia from San Francisco, it’s easy to save by booking a land package with the airline. There are several deals to choose from such as exploring the Great Barrier Reef (starting at $599). The deal includes four nights at a four-star hotel in Cairns, airport transfers, full day Great Barrier Reef cruise, and a full day Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail tour with lunch. Book by May 31.
Air France is offering a six-night Paris and Nice package ideal for a quick introduction to France. The deal starts at $839, and includes round-trip airfare from New York City (other departure cities are available for a higher cost), three-night hotel accommodations in Paris and Nice, one-way flight between the cities, daily continental breakfast, hotel taxes and fees, and airline fuel surcharges. Book at least 30 days in advance.
That’s the best of the best I’ve been able to track down. However, the Internet is a massive place and deals may be lurking in corners I have yet to inspect. So, I call upon you to help in my search. If you’ve come across a particularly great way to save, please share it with everyone below.
