Tashkent Warnings and Dangers
Known for its museums, historical buildings, rare manuscripts, and Buddhist artifacts, a trip to Tashkent is worth the time it takes to pack. Even though the city has a rich history worth exploring, you need to heed a few warnings.
Resist the Temptation to Shoot Photos on the Airplane
You are breaking the law if you take any aerial photos from the airplane. You may even see an air marshal on the plane to make sure the law is enforced.
Customs Rules Followed at the Tashkent Airport
When you enter Uzbekistan, you are required to declare how much money you have in your pockets and wallet. However, do not have any fears about making the declaration. Tashkent is a safe city. Bear in mind that you are going to have a problem if you declare additional money when you leave the country. Customs control employees check everything before your departure.
The Airport is Lacking in Amenities
Bring your own snacks, as there are no restaurants at the airport. There are also no places to exchange your money, so do this before you get to the airport. The business class area does not offer any of these standard amenities either.
Beware of the Scorching Heat
The desert in Uzbekistan is unbelievably hot in the summertime. Although shade does exist, you need to drink plenty of bottled water and tea.
