Exploring the Caves

No matter how strong you think you are, never go into the local caves alone. Every visitor needs a tour guide for their own safety. While experienced cave explorers and rock climbers might be okay on their own, those who seldom do this kind of activity need to take precautions. If you do go exploring, remember to wear a good pair of shoes with good grip on them, since some of the rock surfaces are incredibly slick. Some waters are really deep, with holes inside the caverns that fall into waters that are nearly 30 feet deep. These narrow holes are difficult to climb back out of, and the depth of the waters can be deadly.
