Be Careful with Your Belongings in Cabins
Many of the resorts in the area offer cabins that you can rent and stay in. While you are staying there, don’t leave any of your valuables or electronics in the room while you are gone. There have been some reported thefts reported at Absolute Bearadise. The owner of the hotel has not been known to help people that have stayed there that have had this kind of problem.
Don’t Stay at Family Inns of America
If you are planning on getting a hotel in the city, avoid staying at the Family Inns of America hotel. You can find better rooms in the area when it comes to quality. Some people have reported that their rooms have had wet carpet in some areas and have even had an odd odor. This is not the ideal hotel in Gatlinburg.
Have Your ID Ready
If you plan on drinking in Gatlinburg, be sure that you have your ID on hand at all times. Every establishment that serves alcohol will card you no matter how old you look. The staff in the restaurant will even go around to people’s tables and ask for their IDs. If you don’t have yours, they will take your drink away right there on the spot.
