Sim Lim Square

Tourists who come to the Sim Lim Square should be careful. This is a shopping center that is full of electronic merchandise, such as cell phones, televisions, and laptops. In the square, you are allowed to negotiate the price for your merchandise. Once you have reached a price, some of the vendors will charge you for extra items that you need to make the item function. If you buy a cell phone, you could be charged for unlocking the device. Make sure that your items come with everything it needs, like batteries or power cords, before settling on a price.

Newton Hawker Center

The Newton Hawker Center is a food center located in Newton, Singapore. This establishment has several food stalls and serves more than just seafood. Many tourists flock to this famous marketplace not realizing that some of the stalls may overcharge you or charge you for menu items you did not order. Make sure that get an itemized bill after your meal.

Real and Fake Brands

Many of the tour buses stop at department stores in Singapore. These shops sell lots of different products, but some of the designer items may be fake. The imitation brands are sometimes mixed in with legitimate ones. Check your merchandise carefully before you buy it to make sure that it is not an imitation.
