Theft at the Airport

If you can, keep your valuables in your carry-on. This is the best way to avoid any kind of theft in the airport. If you need to check the baggage you do have a few options. First, invest in a quality padlock. You’ll also see many individuals roll their suitcases completely in plastic. Doing this deters possible thieves from accessing your bag.

Muggers and Pickpocketers

This is the most common form of crime you’ll run into. Many pickpocketers have been practicing their craft for years now, so they are very good at it. In order to avoid muggers, don’t walk down abandoned alleys and stay in lit areas at night. Muggers will not approach you in daylight when there are others in the area.
