A small town on the coast of the Wales, Tenby has been inhabited for centuries and has a big history to show off. Here are some things to do in Tenby.
Set in the ruins of a 13th century castle, the museum is located up on a hill, which also makes with tremendous views across the entire area. Here you'll find many exhibits on local geology, archeology and local history. There are also plenty of activities for children and a gallery devoted to traveling exhibits and English artists.
This small but spacious wildlife park offers a pleasant diversion and a close look at many animals, many of which you can interact with directly. There's also many other animals on the grounds of the park including lemurs, gibbons, goats, flamingoes and tortoises.
One of the most holy places of the United Kingdom, Caldey Island makes a nice day excursion from the mainland. See the Benedictine order of monks and their ancient monastery, tour the old priory and try some chocolates at the chocolate factory. There is also a lighthouse atop the island and many churches to explore along the shore.
As a harbor town home to a fishing fleet, Tenby is a place perfect for quiet walks and many opportunities to dip your toes in the water. Harbor Beach and North Beach are great places to go to enjoy the seaside.
