Dolphin Cove

Along with the amazing beaches of this area, with their warm waters and white sands, there’s also Dolphin Cove as a popular attraction. If you go with a guide (and you should go with a guide), it’s definitely made into a full production for the benefit of the many tourists of the area. You can buy DVDs and picture of yourself and your family swimming alongside and playing with the dolphins. There are other animals you can see on some of the tours, including parrots and snakes.

Chukka Safari

See more of the local life with a Jeep tour inland around the countryside. You can stop to see the different merchants, selling fresh fruit and herbs. This is a chance to learn more about the Rastafaris, and how they live. You can learn more about local customs, education and folklore. People especially love seeing the children of the area, dressed up in their uniforms to head to school. Most of the locals here are extremely friendly and welcoming, so one thing to do is to take the time and get to know them. There are different types of tours you can do, but they’re all meant to get you out of the resort areas and into the neighborhoods. Many enjoy the tours that head to Dunn’s River Falls, where you can explore the area and climb up the waterfall.
