Roswell Things to Do
If you are going to be in Roswell, New Mexico, for business or pleasure, you may be curious about what to do. Roswell is a relatively small town without much nearby, but there is still plenty to see. Here are a few of the Roswell things to do.
International UFO Museum and Research Center
Roswell is notorious for aliens and UFOs. As such, one of the top tourist destinations in the city has to do with this topic. The International UFO Museum and Research Center is a must-do to see things that are out of this world (possibly literally).
Roswell Pioneer Plaza
History buffs should make a stop at the Roswell Pioneer Plaza to see original buildings that were important to the town. Many of these buildings may now be occupied by stores, but are still housed within the original structures and feature placards explaining pertinent historical information.
Roswell Goddard Planetarium
Roswell is not a major city. This means that when it is clear out, you can see the stars very well. The Roswell Goddard Planetarium is the perfect spot to learn more about our solar system and even get the opportunity to see stars and planets more clearly.
Bottomless Lakes State Park
When in Roswell, be sure to visit the Bottomless Lakes State Park. This park is 12 miles out of town but features a few small lakes with extremely high salt content. The lakes are called bottomless because the salt content is so high it is hard to swim to the bottom, meaning it’s easy to lay back and float.
