The Province of Ontario is considered the most important province in the country. It is the home of its biggest city and economic center, Toronto. Canada is the home of some friendly people. When you visit Toronto, don’t get stuck doing the typical things everyone does. Here are some tips on great activities and attractions in the Province of Ontario.
Go to the Top of the CN Tower
At one point, the CN tower was the tallest building in the world. Things have since changed as it is now the third tallest tower in the world at 553 meters high. Visitors love to go to the top in an elevator for a bird’s eye view of Toronto from the sky. While you’re there be sure to buy some maple syrup in the gift shop.
For a look at the focal point of Canada’s government, go to Parliament Hill. The gothic architecture is breathtaking and it is an ideal place to take the traveler with a penchant for historical attractions. There are free tours being offered all the time.
Fashion History Museum
For an authentic look at the fashion of the last four centuries, this is the place to go. The museum is about ten years old and has on display famous fashion articles from throughout history. The museum is open from noon to 5 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday and there is an admission charge.
Take a stroll in Riverfront Park in Windsor along the lake. The lake is the central focus of the town of Windsor. One cool thing about the park is that you can get a clear view of Detroit, Michigan from across the water.
