Things to Do in Nasugbu, Phillippines

Nasugbu Things to Do

Nasugbu is a popular vacation area in the Philippines about two and a half hours south of Manila, the capital city. The weather is warm throughout the year, ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s year-round, making it popular with visitors from around the globe.

Have a Few Drinks

Because of Nasugbu’s popularity among the tourist set, there are a number of resorts, restaurants and bars throughout the area. If you are looking for a relaxing good time, you’ll find no shortage of places in which to unwind with a cool drink in your hand. Try to hit as many as you can while you are in the neighborhood.

Climb Mount Batulao

From the top of Mount Batulao, you’ll enjoy much cooler temperatures and a delightful breeze. This provides a welcome escape from the heat and humidity that the tropics are known for. It is amazing the difference in temperature, even when the sun is shining brightly, so be sure to bring a jacket along with you in case you get a bit chilly. The view from the top will give you unmatched views of the coastline and surrounding mountains. The entire trip, from base to summit and back again, takes an entire day, so don’t forget to work this into your itinerary at some point.

Visit Caleruega

Caleruega is considered somewhat of a holy place in the area. It is a place where you can escape from the stresses of the city and reconnect with nature and the more spiritual side of things. Many visitors choose to camp out while they are here, but you are more than welcome to visit just for the day as well. It is a great place to go for a hike, rest and have a picnic or even celebrate a wedding.

Relax at the Beach

No trip to Nasugbu, or the Philippines in general, would be complete without spending at least a little bit of time at the beach. There are a number of water sports that you can participate in, like jetskiing, parasailing, snorkeling and scuba diving. If you prefer to just relax, that’s perfectly fine too. Arrive early to secure a chair and umbrella if you so desire, or stay out in the sun to get a tan.
