Magog is located in southeastern Quebec and has something for everyone. Both nature lovers and wine lovers will find something to do while visiting Magog.
Mont-Orford National Park
This National Park is packed full of great hiking and biking trails. The park is made up of several mature and very large maple trees. Visitors to the park will also find that the park offers campgrounds and lakes to enjoy water activities like boating, kayaking, and fishing. There is even a golf course located within the national park. Just a short drive away from Magog, Mont-Orford National Park is a must-see place to visit.
Magog is home to several nice beaches that provide a great view of the lake. While the water does not have perfectly clear visibility, it does provide the perfect spot to swim on a hot summer day. The beach is very clean and there are plenty of water activities, such as windsurfing, available. Be sure to bring appropriate footwear to the beach because it is very rocky entering and exiting the water.
Magog Main Street
There is plenty to do and see when walking down Magog’s Main Street. There are several restaurants and cafes to grab a bite to eat, as well as a variety of art galleries and souvenir shops to explore. Or, stick around for the evening and visit the nightclubs. You can easily spend an afternoon exploring all of the shops along Main Street.
Chant des Vignes Vineyard
Tourists must visit the Chant des Vignes Vineyard where guests can not only taste delicious wine, but they can learn about and see exactly how the wine is made. Recent visitors to the vineyard strongly recommend trying the Kirie, which is a raspberry-based kir.
