Hiking the Logan Canyon
Travel to the national forest services to pick up your hiking guide before you begin your journey through Logan Canyon. There are lots of different trails. Beginners can maneuver through a set of easy trails while experienced hikers can venture through trails that are more difficult. Along the way, you are invited to stay the night at one of the camping grounds around Grove Lake. You can also visit Bear Lake where there are lots of fun activities, including swimming, boating, and other watersports.
Explore the Vast Logan History
- Logan Temple – In the center of town is the Mormon Temple, Logan Temple. It was the fourth temple built and only one of two that are still operating. Although only Mormon’s are allowed inside, you can still visit the building’s unique architecture and grounds.
- Ellen Eccles Theatre – Operated by the Cache Valley for the Arts, the Ellen Eccles Theatre was the home of Vaudeville entertainment when it opened in 1923. Concerts and shows continue to be held there regularly.
- Beaver Mountain Ski Resort – For those who love to ski, the Beaver Mountain Ski Resort sits near the Logan Canyon summit.
Fun for the Whole Family
American West Heritage Center portrays the Logan lifestyle that existed from 1820-1920. It is an outside folk museum that showcases farm life, pioneer settlements, the Shoshone Indian encampment, as well as old western shops. Special events are held year-round, which includes Baby Animal Days and Farmtastic Fall.
