Check Out London Bridge
This is the famed London Bridge from the nursery rhyme. It stood for over 100 years, even surviving bombings in two world wars, in the city before it started to fall apart and needed to be replaced. It was then sold and shipped to Arizona in the 1960’s. It stands today in Lake Havasu and is one of the most important landmarks in Arizona, second only to the Grand Canyon. Today, it stands over a man-made canal in the city.
Jet Ski Races
If you like jet ski racing, you should visit during the second week of October. That is when the World Final Jet Ski races are held each year in Lake Havasu. The best racers in the world compete in this event. There are also some dazzling freestylers doing tricks. There are competitions that decide the fastest man, woman, and youth on a Jet Ski.
Cattail Cove Park is a favorite spot in the area. There is an amphitheater, a beach, and even a dog beach. Its natural beauty and expansive offering of things to do make it one of the most popular parks in the area. The beach offers great water for swimming. Another popular activity is to feed the ubiquitous ducks that will come to you looking for food in the picnic area.
