Kampung Bukit Tinggi Things to Do
The Kampung Bukit Tinggi community gives you an incredible view of what colonial Southeast Asia looked like. With its European constructed buildings and lush tropical forests, there’s plenty to see. Here are some traveler favorites.
Botanical Garden (Berjaya Hills Complex)
The city of Kampung Bukit Tinggi is a flower and plant lover’s dream. It really does look like a secret city hidden in a garden. The botanical garden in the Berjaya Hills complex is a beautiful distillation of the city’s lushness. While small, the botanical garden offers a simply mesmerizing burst of color in every direction.
Colmar Tropicale French-Themed Resort
The Colmar Tropicale French-themed resort looks like a European village, with the streets, buildings and shops all straight out of a quaint European village. With the location up in the hills, the temperature is slightly cooler, and a fog often enshrouds the grounds, adding an air of mystery to the already surreal experience.
Malaysia is an intersection of many different cultures. Penang probably gets most of the attention for this, but Kampung Bukit Tinggi has its share of crossover as well. Inside the Japanese Village, there is a beautiful display of small shops and gardens. The Japanese Garden is tranquil; you can also stop by the Japanese tea house or the spa. Make sure to save time for this spot, as you really can spend more than a day here.
