Hollywood Things to Do
Hollywood, Florida, is not only rich in arts and culture, it’s also a great place to spend time in the outdoors. You can relax on the beach or go wildlife viewing during the day and attend a concert at night.
Music, Arts, and Gambling
If you’re into rock music and good food, then get your fill of fun at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. You can shop, visit the museum, get something to eat, and gamble all in one place. If this venue isn’t your type of thing, then try a cruise on the SunCruz Casino boat. Even if you don’t want to gamble on the boat, it’s still a nice ride on the ocean. For more arts and culture, check out the Hollywood Beach Theatre and the Arts and Culture Center with the LEGO exhibit. Hollywood also has a variety of interesting architecture to view in the beach areas.
Enjoy the Arts and Outdoors
Hollywood is a great place to be outdoors whether you want to walk on an uncrowded beach or go wildlife watching at the Anne Kolb Nature Center. If you want to see some of Florida’s famous alligators, take a boat ride at the Sawgrass Recreation Center. Hollywood’s John U. Lloyd State park is located right in downtown and is said to be one of the nicest beaches in South Florida. You can watch the cruise ships come and go, or rent a small boat of your own. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. You will find people with baby strollers, biking, roller skating or rollerblading along this sun-lit outdoor avenue.
