Susquehanna Museum of Havre de Grace

When it comes to being a tourist, it is cool to explore the area/town to understand the locals. In Havre de Grace, you can visit the cities museum and learn a substantial amount of local history. The museum is actually located in the lock house, which makes it seem more personable than a regular museum.

The lock house was converted from the southern terminus that was operated between1840-1897. The locals keep up the museum with great pride and humility. During your visit here you will be able to look at historical artifacts free of charge. There is no admission fee, however, donations are greatly appreciated.

Taking A Walk On The Promenade

Do you feel like taking a relax day with minimal effort on your part? The Promenade is a perfect place for you to spend a little bit of time at. The Promenade is about half a mile in length and you will see a ton of locals/tourists along the way. Feel free to bring food, your dog, or skateboards if you would like. The Promenade is open from sunrise to 8:00pm.

Concord Point Lighthouse

If you want to view more history of the city, the Lighthouse will be another great option for you. The city’s lighthouse was built in 1827 with the sole purpose of protecting vessels from danger. You can view the lighthouse on Saturdays and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm (excluding holidays).
