Thessaloniki Shopping – Shops, Stores, Best Buys & Inside Tips

Thessaloniki Shopping Tips

Thessaloniki is a shopper’s paradise. The City Centre is small, but blessed with an abundance of shops, markets, bars and coffee houses to suit all budgets and tastes.

Music Stores

Alone Record Store a music store near Navarinou square dedicated to heavy metal fans. You can find a large variety of CDs (new and old releases), LPs, DVDs and many T-shirts.

Heavy metal fans may also check Steel Gallery Records at Filikis Etaireias 33.

Non metal fans may try Stereodisc Record Store at Aristotelous 4.

For electronic/dance/indie pop try Noise at Dim.Margariti 5 and Lotos at Scra 7.

For secondhand vinyls visit Zaharias at D.Gounari 17(Navarinou sq) and Alternative (D.Gounari 17, just next to Zaharias).

Patsis Music World is a big company that started from a tiny shop. They stock a huge variety of Greek and Foreign music and sell DVDs, concert tickets and posters.

Clothing

Visit the F-fokas megastore for a huge variety of brand name clothing suitable for all ages at good prices. Visit F-Fokas Sport for everything sports-related.

Berto Lucci is a beautiful men’s store with perfect suits, shirts and ties – Italian style, good quality and very reasonable prices, especially during the season discount time.

Fena is a trendy department store, but different than the kind of department store typical to the US. It’s smaller, more personal and definitely expensive. They carry name brands like Diesel, Burberry, Tommy, Lacoste, Guess and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others.

Mediterranean Cosmos

One of the biggest shopping malls of Greece and Balkans, Mediterranean Cosmos is situated a few kilometers from the town of Thessaloniki and is easily accessible by car, taxi, or bus. There’s a huge variety of shops to satisfy everyone’s preferences, and if you’re tired after so much shopping, there’s a nice selection of cafes and restaurants to relax in.

Aristotelous Square

At the northwestern corner of the Aristotelous Square you can take a narrow side street into a market where you’ll find a multitude of different goods like stationary, shoes, flowers, clothing, tools and more along with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and fish.

Tsimiski Street is the most beautiful street in Thessaloniki, and together with Mitropoleos Street is the best for upscale shopping for both men and women.
