Editor’s Note: The author of this story was hosted by The Ritz-Carlton.

Wrap yourself in a plush bathrobe and sip champagne as you gaze out the picture windows overlooking Central Park. Watch New York City’s vignettes below as the city skyline fades from day to night. The Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park offers a front-row seat to Manhattan’s crown jewel—Central Park.

The Rooms

The rooms at the Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park are designed to look like chic city penthouses, so you can fulfill your fantasies of living like the 1 percent in Manhattan during a stay here.

All of the rooms are extremely spacious for the city, starting at a minimum of 425 square feet. The star feature of the hotel is the Central Park views, so be sure to book one of the rooms overlooking the park.

For a true splurge, book one of the suites, which range from 860 square feet to the 2175 square feet Royal Suite (equipped with two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple living rooms, and a 12-person dining room).

Each room is elegantly appointed, with panoramic (but completely soundproof) windows that allow a glimpse into city life without the noise. The Carrara marble bathrooms feature soaking tubs and thoughtful touches like crystal ring holders, along with delectably scented Asprey bath amenities.

The beds are topped with 400-thread-count Frette linens for an unbeatable night’s sleep, and plush terry bathrobes and Frette slippers make lounge time feel special.

Dining

Just off the hotel lobby, the in-house Contour restaurant draws in both guests and locals all day long. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this cozy space has a lively long marble bar and two lounge spaces for a more relaxed vibe.

The bar’s cocktails are innovative and feature nods to the local area (be sure to get a drink made with Kings County bourbon—the hotel has partnered with this nearby distillery on their own special barrel).

Small plates also highlight locally sourced ingredients and are designed to share, adding to the social nature of the restaurant’s loungy space. Pro tip: The just-salty-enough truffle and parmesan fries pair perfectly with any of the Champagnes on Contour’s extensive wine list.

Price and How to Book

Room rates vary significantly based on dates and room type, but prices start around $770 and can be booked directly through The Ritz-Carlton.
