Texarkana Things to Do

Texarkana, Texas, sits on the border of Texas and Arkansas, hence the name. There is a city on the Arkansas side with the same name. The city was instrumental in the railroad industry in the late 1800s as the companies made their way west across Texas. It is also the home to one of the inventors of ragtime music, Scott Joplin. There are a lot of attractions available to tourists who are traveling through the area.
