Star Clippers adds Tahiti to its itinerary list

Exotic Polynesian beaches. Broad, white sails atop a classic clipper ship. Both can be a part of a future vacation, now that Star Clippers has announced plans to cruise the waters of French Polynesia.

Star Clippers will send the Star Flyer to Papeete, Tahiti, to begin year-round Tahiti cruises on December 16, 2007. The clipper ship will sail seven-night itineraries, as well as longer voyages that include the Marquesas Islands. While the scheduling is not complete, the Star Clipper is likely to cruise the Far East in winter 2007 before assuming the Star Flyer‘s former Greece and Turkey itineraries for spring 2008. The Royal Clipper will continue its current schedule: Caribbean in the fall and winter, Mediterranean in the spring and summer.

If you’re not familiar with Star Clippers, the line offers luxury cruises on clipper ships that accommodate between 170 and 230 guests. Passengers experience a casual atmosphere with all the pampering expected of a high-end line.

For the gentlemen out there, this is the kind of cruise that the ladies find incredibly romantic. If you want to know more, visit Star Clippers’ website.
