  • Flying is perhaps the fastest way to get to Sint Maarten, but cruise boats are also very popular. It happens to be one of the busiest ports in the Caribbean. There can be as many as six or more ships in the port during the high season, which can mean about 18,000 passengers. Keep in mind that once off the ship, a long walk may be necessary to get into the main shopping district.

  • There are excellent car rental dealerships in Sint Maarten that have cars to ready to be picked up and returned at the airport or the pier. Something to note is that there are bumps in the road that can cause flat tires, but the companies will come out and take care of them. Car rentals are a leisurely way to see all around Sint Maarten.

  • Sint Maarten Water Taxis



  • From the port, there are usually many water taxis available for hire. The fares are cheap and allow for an unlimited number of trips during the day. The water taxis are well-kept and have ample seating. The crew is friendly and they play some fun music during the journey. It's not only a fun way to reach Sint Maarten, but it's also a great way to see the view from the water. Everyone who has bought a ticket is required to wear a wristband for identification purposes.
