Shenzhen Shopping – Shops, Store, Best Buys and Inside Tips

Shenzhen Shopping

Shenzhen shopping is world-famous. This city, located in southeastern China, is one of the wealthiest cities in China with a variety of stores and shops where you can find a great deal.

Dongmen

The Dongmen area is not a mall or a shopping center, it is an open-air market where hundreds of shops interconnect. You should go to Dongmen if you’re looking for clothing, handbags, and small ticket items, and there is also a famous shoe “mall” in this area. The prices are lower in Dongmen than Luohu Commercial City and you can easily negotiate even cheaper prices on some items. Dongmen is very big and usually busy (but peaceful), so try to plan out your shopping ahead of time to make the most of your trip and don’t get lost! You may also want to bring cash as some of the smaller stalls and shops won’t take credit cards.

Luohu Commercial City

Luohu Commercial City has a lot to offer, but it is especially known for excellent imitation designer handbags and watches. You can also find name brand products at this mall. Stalls and shops are packed tightly and on multiple floors in this enclosed shopping center. Prices are relatively low here, but you can always bargain and try to get an even lower price. Many shop owners speak English enough to haggle. Because this is a popular shopping destination, be wary of pickpockets and keep your cash close to your body in a zippered bag.

Coco Park

You can spend a whole day exploring the shopping in Coco Park. Despite its name, Coco Park is not a park but a large mall. Coco Park’s shops feature top brands and amenities, including a wide array of international food choices when you get hungry. You can buy clothing, jewelry, and other goods, but there is also a grocery store, a cinema, and a spa. The mall is easy to get to because it is connected to the underground metro, and there is a bank and ATM in the park where you can complete international transactions.
