Sedona Things to Do – Attractions & Must See

Sedona Things to Do

In Arizona, the beautiful city of Sedona lies in its midst waiting for visitors to bask in its refinement providing you with peace, skylight, and activities. The city offers various things to do, from sight-seeing wonderful landscapes to discovering museums and farms.

Dazzling Landscapes for Hiking

As any other area that is known for its gorgeous landscape and rock formations, Sedona offers you the opportunity to explore, not just a small mass of nature’s gift, but various areas not confined to the noisiness of civilization. If you prefer a more secluded area of crimson rock to hike, Devil’s Bridge gives a vast range of open spaces with no houses or buildings in sight. Nature untouched. Or perhaps if you’re someone who loves the combination of sky and landscape, you can witness the glow of red rocks as the sun sets low between Cathedral Rock, basking in a moment of a watermelon sky.

Cathedral Rock is a towering formation of rocks grouped together and surrounded by greenery. Sedona is filled with red rock formations like Bell Rock, Oak Creek Canyon or Boynton Canyon, ready to be explored and ventured. Neither are confined closely to the other so visitors get the chance to hike and delve into a multitude of areas.

Rides

If you’re more of a mobile person without the constant walking, or simply don’t have time to hike, then you may want to look into the rides available at Sedona. The rides vary from jeep tours to train rides. The Helicopter Tours are a bit on the expensive side but grants in a fantastic view of Sedona in its entirety. Just drive through the center of the town, head west, and turn left to the airport entrance. The balloon rides and plane rides are also a unique way to get around Sedona for sight-seeing.

Celebrations, Museums, & Relaxation

While most sight-seeing of Sedona lies on the outside of the town where the rocks and cliffs meet, you should also take your time to venture through the inside where Sedona’s Film Festival usually takes place in February. The festival is week long and includes various activates, events and different venues to explore. The workshop invites Academy Award-winning industry professionals to share and teach their knowledge of generational films. This is a big event, but other activities to look into while you’re in town are the museums, the art gallery, golfing, the spa, or even the cute Rain Trout Farm. As you can see, Sedona stays packed full of opportunities for new experiences and anyone that loves an adventure should take their time and visit.
