Save This Fall in New York

I’ve been seeing a fair number of discounted fall rates in New York recently, indicating a trend that’s definitely worth exploring if you’re looking toward the Empire State this autumn.

New York City

• I got an email advertising rates at the Marrakech Hotel on the Upper West Side starting at $169 per night. But when I went to the website, the hotel was promoting rates as low as $99 per night. Certainly worth looking into, especially as the hotel looks pretty cool.
• The Broadway Hotel and Hostel, which touts itself as a “boutique hostel” has space in dormitory-style rooms for $24 per night, or private rooms with bathrooms starting at $149 per night.
• The three New York City hotels of the GEM Hotels Collection have fall rates from $159 per night. Hotel locations are SoHo, Chelsea, and Midtown West. For added value, the hotels offer free audio tours and local savings tips.
