Nightlife in Russia
Russia has many sights to see and enjoy, and its nightlife can be very different than that of other countries. Knowing where to go, how to dress, and what to expect will make the experience more enjoyable.
Clubs and Bars in Russia
As in most destinations, Russian hotels often have bars–but local bars outside hotels are more authentic and give a better feel for the local customs. If you’re entering a nightclub, there’s usually a fee: typically around $20, not including drinks. Drinks in Russian nightclubs and bars can be very expensive.
Strike up conversations with locals, but be careful of the women that hang out in bars and hotels looking for a different type of relationship. Visitors are charged a higher price than the local customers are at some bars and clubs.
Nightlife Culture in Russia
There are many high-level concerts, operas, and performances in Russia to choose from. Tickets are sold at kiosks on the street. Of course, some of the finest ballet in the world can be seen first-hand in Russia. Be sure to dress nicely in order to fit in.
