With no building allowed to be higher than St. Peter’s church in Vatican City, Rome sprawls long and long across the middle of Italy. People who come here in search of shopping will find it at the Via del Corso, which is one of the main streets in Rome. You’ll find lots of large international stores all over the street including major retailers such as Nike and Zara, as well as smaller Italian retailers. The street also has many places that are covered such as the Galleria Alberto Sordi. The Sordi is the ideal place to retreat if you are here during the summer when it gets really hot.

The Via del Corso dates back to Roman times. Walk from the Piazza del Popolo for good look at it. You can start at  one end of it and walk the entire length of the street and end up in all the way at the Piazza Venezia.
