Piazza III Novembre

Piazza III Novembre itself is partially surrounded by fourteenth century porticoes and tempting cafes to linger in. The Apponale Tower is on one side and opposite it are two palaces, the fourteenth century Palazzo Pretorio and the fifteenth century Palazzo Municipale.

Museo Civico

Riva del Garda has a very good town museum located in an old palace named “the Rocca” in the center of town. The museum is on multiple floors and features archaeological exhibits, exhibits about the town’s history, and a good art collection. Give yourself at least an hour to go through it. The museum also has a tower from which you can get good views of the town, the lake, and the mountains.

Mountain Biking

Riva del Garda and surrounding is certainly one of the most amazing places anyone could hope to explore by bike. The peaks, which rise over 2000 meters out of the lake, are crossed by superb tracks and trails, providing enjoyment and challenge for all kinds of mountain bikers.

Promenade

Like many resorts on Lake Garda the promenades make for delightful, easy walks, and Riva particularly has lush vegetation and parks around to enjoy. It’s better to take a stroll before 4 pm, though, when the wind tends to get up.

Boat Trip

Book the Lake Tour or take one of the many ferries / katamarans that leave the center of Riva and visit some of the beautiful places on Garda. There are Limone and Malcesine in the north, Bardolino and Lazise further south,  and at the southernmost tip of the lake lies the lovely Sirmione.
