Go to the Beach

As is true with any seaside resort town, the beach is the most popular gathering place. There are over 15 kilometers of beach space in Rimini. leaving ample room for all visitors. It can get a little crowded in the summer during the busiest times. It is actually the longest beach in Europe. Many of the hotels have their own section of the beach reserved specifically for the people staying there. These are marked by numbers. There are also public areas open to everyone.

Experience “Mini Italy”

One cool way to experience Italy on a smaller scale is at the amusement park called “Italia in Miniatura”. The park has almost 300 miniature version of famous buildings located around Italy. One popular section is the miniature version of the canals and islands of Venice. There are even miniature boats. This is a great place to take kids during your visit to Rimini.

See a Famous Roman Bridge

Tiberio’s Bridge is one of the most important landmarks in the Rimini region. The bridge recently celebrated its 2000th birthday, making it certainly one of the oldest bridges in the world. The river it used to cross doesn’t exist anymore. It now rests on a marina and helps guide cars and pedestrians. It’s amazing that this 2000-year-old bridge can transport automobiles today at the rate that they cross. The bridge has been a national monument since the 1800’s.
