If you’re in Richmond and you want to spend the night out on the town, head to the Downtown Party District. Here, you can find famous bars, pubs, and dance clubs. While in the city, grab a drink at Richbrau Brewery, Capital Ale House, Potter’s Pub, McCormack’s Irish Pub, Emilio’s Tapas Bar, and Tap House Grill, just to name a few. Tiki Bob’s and Fahrenheit Club are two of the best known nightclubs in the area, so head here if you want to dance. On Friday nights, Tobacco Company bar and restaurant hosts happy hour in the basement. They serve $1 beers and cheap mixed drinks. The place fills up quickly, so make this one of your first stops of the night.

Theatres

The National Theatre and Byrd Theatre are old-fashioned movie theaters in town. You can catch a movie at discount prices and get a glimpse of what it was like to see a movie decades ago. The Landmark Theatre was built in the 1920’s and is regularly used for concerts, live performances, and events. Carpenter Center for Performing Arts hosts operas, symphonies, comedians, and concerts.
