The Breakers 

The Breakers is a well known mansion located in the Newport area of Rhode Island. Cornelius Vanderbilt II constructed the mansion in 1893. It has stood the test of time at a size of 65,000 feet, with 70 rooms. Though visitors are not permitted to see a majority of them they can take an audio tour of the sections of this historic mansion which are open to the public.

Culinary Arts Museum 

The Culinary Arts Museum is a family friendly attraction spread out over 25,000 square feet. Found at the Johnson and Wales University in Providence, the museum contains collections made up of well known brands as well as old appliances and even hot dog stands and exhibits from county fairs of the past. Visitors are given a map of the museum to help them navigate through it.

Mohegan Bluff

The Mohegan Bluffs are located on Block Island. These large clay cliffs tower 150 feet above the beach.

Newport Cliff Walk

The Cliff Walk is also great for nature lovers. At 3.5 miles long it is a favorite among those who enjoy walking or running as a hobby. One reason this walk is so popular is that it is a beautiful paved path that provides a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. The walk also includes a 40 step staircase that people love to conquer.
