Puerto Princesa Nightlife

Restaurants, Bars, and Discos

At night, visitors to Puerto Princesa have many options. They can go out for dinner and drinks at one of its many fine restaurants, or they can skip the meal and get the night started at a bar and disco. Chez Rose is a nightclub in town that stays open until 4:00 a.m. Here, you can find top-shelf liquor, crowded dance parties, and karaoke. Kinabuchs is another popular stop, as are Gold Moon Disco and Tokyo Kitchen. Tom-Toms, located in the Manalo Extension, is well-visited by the local trike-drivers. They keep coming back for the wide selection of liquor, wine, and beer. The venue also hosts parties and is a prime place to watch football, cricket, and rugby.

Live Music

If you enjoy live acoustic music and cheap beer, visit Katbom. Here, the chefs grill up local seafood dishes and pub fare. You can listen to music, drink beer, and socialize with the locals into the wee hours of the morning. Open until 2:00 a.m., Katobom is a great place to have a few drinks with friends. Sakura, a fairly new restaurant, offers a full menu of island favorites. The chefs also serve food from around the world, including french and italian inspired dishes. With several rooms for dancing and karaoke, Sakura is a great choice if you’re in the mood to let loose with your buddies. Like Katobom, Sakura also hosts live musicians. Look in the local newspaper for upcoming events and shows in the area. Although sometimes not listed, live music can also be found on the beaches. Take a stroll in the afternoon and early evening and chances are you’ll hear a band or two.
