What Is it: BoxWave's SelfiePod, a photo assistant device that lets you take photos from far away.

Pros:

• Easy to use—just clip your phone on it, set the timer, and take your photo
• Telescoping arm extends from 7 inches to 41 inches
• Works with most smartphones, including iPhones and Samsungs
• Rotates 360 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically for awesome photo angles
• No battery required
  
  Cons:
  
• Even when folded down to carrying size, the SelfiePod will take up a lot of room in your bag
• Using a selfie stick will attract a lot of attention from bystanders when taking photos
  
  How it Rates:
  
• Usefulness: 8/10. Never have to bother a stranger to take your photo again, or have the photographer be left out of a group shot
  
• Value: 6/10. The SelfiePod was on sale for $16.95 (originally $29.95) on SelfiePod at the time of publication
  
• Durability: 8/10. The SelfiePod is well-made and seems much more durable than some of the cheaper selfie sticks
  
• Cool Factor: 5/10. The pictures that come from using a SelfiePod will be cool, but it's tough to look suave while actually using one
  
  Final Verdict: If you love selfies and aren't self conscious, the SelfiePod is a great picture taking tool
