The Marina
Playa Blanca is a town in Spain whose name means “White Beach.” Unsurprisingly, most of the attractions in the area revolve around the ocean.
Playa means beach in Spanish, and there are many playas in the area. Playa Blanca is town beach near the village. It’s a very clean, quiet beach that is sheltered from any choppy waters. It makes the perfect place for families to visit. Playa Flamingo is a great beach that is sheltered from rough waters as well. It boasts golden sands and is an ideal place for kids to play and swim. For adults visiting the area, there's quite a choice of bars and restaurants, too. Playa Dorada is another beach you’ll encounter when walking from the southern tip of Playa Blanca. It's the largest of the three, and the waters remain calm in this area.
The Marina Rubicon is a picturesque, 20-minute walk along the seafront from Playa Blanca town. There are many ships that sit in the waters, fish can be seen from the walkway, and gulls sail over the skies.
Walking from the seafront into the marina shopping area, you’ll find many waterways, little wooden bridges, and reflecting pools. Whitewashed shops are interspersed with terracotta and paprika colored restaurants. If you're hungry, remember that the tables outside the cafes and tapas bars start getting crowded at noon.
