Power Adapter and Converter
When coming to Thailand, you'll experience a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Before you make your way to Phuket though, you need to know what to pack.
So you won't need to bring all the tripods and extensive gear. However, you should bring a second battery. You'll be taking tons of pictures and sometimes you either won't have a charge that lasts long enough, or completely forget to charge the battery for a night. Having a second battery helps make up for the problem. Also, consider picking up a water proof casing for your camera. This will allow you to take those perfect pictures while under water.
For the most part, all you'll ever need in Thailand in way of clothing is shorts and t-shirts. You can pack these without taking up much space. Don't try to fill up the rest. You'll probably go shopping thanks to the cheap goods you can buy in Thailand. So don't pack extra because you have room. Pack light and leave the open space for what you'll be returning with.
Speaking of t-shirts, it is hot in Thailand. More importantly, it is humid. Very humid. This means you'll sweat a ton. Bring something that helps improve airflow so you remain comfortable. T-shirts or tank tops are great for this. Plus, these items don't take up much space.
Clothes to Pack
In Phuket you'll be outside a lot. Because of this, you'll want to bring sun block. You'll sweat a good deal which means you might reduce the length of time your sun block application lasts. While you don't need to bring a giant jug of sun screen, make sure you do have a bottle for your time outside.
If there is one thing insects love it is hot and humid. This also brings out the mosquitos. So bring the repellent to protect yourself while outside in more wooded areas.
Toiletries to Pack
You can't charge your batteries without the right power adapter. You need the right power adapter, but you also need a converter. This ensures your device not only can plug in but receives the appropriate charge of electricity.
